The Wine Country Marines are excited to announce a partnership with the San Mateo County Department of Emergency Management. Specifically, the County DEM has graciously donated thru the Wine Country Marines a very large supply of excess inventory of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) that were provided by FEMA, to be shared with the community at large.
Wine Country Marines will distribute these to organizations in need by appointment only. Date and time slots confirmed upon verification of organization/recipient.
This generous donation consists of surgical gowns that conform to YY/T0506.2-2016 industry standards, head to toe white isolation suits with anti-static properties, blue dental style isolation gowns, vented goggles, face shields also with anti-static properties, 1 gallon bottles of bleach, commercial mop buckets, and mop handles.
The isolation gowns are great for any organization or non-profit that serves at risk community members such as homeless, ill, or others such as patients receiving booster or vaccination shots or applying for benefits or services.
The surgical gowns are great for any organization or non-profit that performs medical services where bodily fluids are collected or exposed.
The goggles provide complete protection of the eye, and are vented to prevent fogging.
The mops, mop buckets and bleach require no explanation, but are shown in the photos below for reference.
If your organization would like some of these products to aid in your mission to serve the community, please RSVP at the following link:
Here are photos of the products we have to distribute.
Wine Country Marines concluded the distribution phase of this project by the 1st week of March. While our original desire was to distribute to Government Agencies, Non Profits, and Military/Veteran Organizations in addition to tax paying citizens and businesses, in order to comply with donor intent we did need to exclude the individuals and businesses from distribution.
In total, we distributed over 50,000 Isolation Gowns; 14,000 surgical gowns; 85,000 face shields; 102,000 vented googles; 825 mop buckets; 1290 mop handles; 5,400 gallons of bleach; 29,000 gloves; 68,000 medical face masks; 40,000 N95 masks; 3,792 bottles of hand sanitizer; 34,000 aprons; 6,000 disposable operating gowns.
Some of these items were sent to Tonga to aid with the volcano eruption disaster, with…
Next distribution date will be Feb 3rd, appointments starting at 9:00am, Non Profits Only. Doing charitable work without being an actual 501C3 makes you a volunteer, which is admirable and appreciated, but that does not qualify at this phase for receiving the donations. RSVP only, and you must have an appointment, and be a verifiable 501C3 Non Profit.
All others will be addressed in future phases of the distribution.
Thank you everyone for checking in on this. If your organization is in need of any of the PPE, all you have to do is click on the RSVP button, provide your contact information, and then we'll get in touch with you to confirm needed quantities and will schedule a time for you to pickup the PPE. We have goggles, face shields, isolation gowns, surgical gowns, bleach, mop handles and mop buckets.
