We are honored to announce two new Members of the Board of the Wine Country Marines. At a regularly schedule board meeting that took place on zoom at 1830 hours on December 22, 2021 the board of the Wine Country Marines reviewed the nominations of two high qualified candidates.
Following review of the nominations and open discussion of the candidates qualifications and anticipated contributions to the organization and the military and veterans' communities, a vote was conducted.
LtCol Jim Cameron, USMC (Retired) and Chief Jeff Liu (East Palo Alto Police Department) received a unanimous vote by the board to occupy the previously vacant 19th and 20th seat on the Wine Country Marines Board.
LtCol Cameron previously commanded the US Marines 2/7 (2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment) and also previously commanded Recruiting Station Portland. LtCol Cameron has significant business experience at an executive level.
Chief Liu has extensive law enforcement and leadership experience with more than 20 years in law enforcement with experience in command, patrol, investigations and as an instructor at the police academy.
Both have been long time friends of the Wine Country Marines assisting with events, causes and outreach.
LtCol Cameron's focus will be on representing the Wine Country Marines efforts in the Pacific Northwest Region, and on Corporate Contributions and Fundraising.
Chief Liu's focus will be on representing the Wine Country Marines efforts in the Silicon Valley and will serve as a liaison to the law enforcement community and will oversee our social media and marketing efforts.
