At the end of March, tragedy struck the Brozowski family as they were on their way home from watching one of their daughters compete in a tumbling meet.
Patrick and Liz Brozowski, small business owners who operate a Crossfit gym, were involved in a terrible motorcycle accident. While Liz escaped with minor injuries, Patrick suffered major head trauma and multiple fractures in his face and vertebrae. Despite being put into a medically induced coma, Patrick unfortunately did not survive his injuries.
Patrick was a proud veteran who served our country as a Marine and later as a soldier in the Army National Guard. However, those who knew him personally will remember him as a loving husband and father who always went above and beyond for others. He was described as a true saint who was always willing to help anyone in need, no matter the time or day.
Liz, who typically coaches at the gym daily, has not left Patrick's side since the accident and also suffered injuries. Their four children are now left without their loving father, and the family will surely need all the love and support they can get in the coming days and weeks.
While Patrick may no longer be with us, his memory will live on as a dedicated Marine who served our country and a loving family man who touched the lives of many.
In a fitting tribute, the crowd sang the Marines' Hymn as Marine Veteran Patrick Brozowski was escorted down the hall from his hospital room to the elevator. The halls were lined with those he had inspired throughout his life, including friends, family, and complete strangers who had been touched by his selfless service and devotion to others.
As you watch this touching video, you can feel the love and admiration pouring out for Patrick. The emotion on the faces of those gathered speaks to the impact he had on the lives of so many. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
As the elevator doors closed and Patrick left us for the last time, we bid him farewell with the words, "Fair winds and following seas, Marine." Although he may be gone, his spirit and dedication to service will never be forgotten.
